Culvert Replacement – Ebemee Township, ME
Removal of two aging and undersized 6’ diameter corrugated metal culverts at the crossing of Bog Brook with a 40’ simple span bridge. Sucker Brook
Culvert Replacement – Katahdin Ironworks, ME
The Sucker Brook Culvert Replacement project consists of the removal of the existing 36” corrugated metal circular culvert with an adjacent smaller HDPE secondary culvert. The 36” culvert will be removed and replaced with an open bottom concrete block structure that has an approximately 10.75’ wide opening, 40’ long at the base, and +/- 3’ height above the stream bed. The stream bottom will be re-established with native materials or imported materials that meet the consistency of downstream native materials, as required. The permanent impact area at the brook is expected to be less than 100 sf. All slopes greater than 2:1 will receive rip-rap. Erosion and sediment control to be in accordance with the State of Maine DEP BMPs. Dewatering of brook flow by pumping will discharge back to the stream through a sediment bag or rip-rap plunge pool, unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. Reconstruction of the gravel roadway shall be in conformance with Contract Documents and Maine DOT standard specifications
Spring Street
Offsite Improvements – Scarborough, ME
Offsite improvements under MaineDOT Private Development Agreement to support newly constructed retail space. Work included +/-400 lf of sidewalk construction, 600 lf of granite curbing (remove/reset and newly installed), ADA ramps at all crossing locations, lighting, signage, paving, striping and plantings to support creation of a 4-way stop at the intersections of Gallery Blvd and Spring Sts. Significant traffic signal upgrades were also performed as part of this work to include a new ATCC cabinet and adaptive signal installation.
